The Role in a Nutshell: Build Coastline's roster by sourcing exceptional creators, making a compelling case for why they should join us, and shepherding them through their first 90 days. You're equal parts strategist, closer, and onboarding guide—responsible for the full journey from discovering talent to making sure they feel at home. The Best Fit: Someone who loves finding people, has a sharp eye for quality, and genuinely enjoys making the first impression count. You'll work independently but stay close to new creators, and you're comfortable building systems as you go.
Talent Acquisition & Creator Onboarding Specialist

ABOUT COASTLINE CREATIVES
Coastline Creatives is a full-service talent management agency representing top digital-first creators across food & beverage, fitness, and lifestyle. We architect career-defining partnerships for exceptional talent and deliver campaigns that move the needle for the world's most discerning brands. Our roster stays small on purpose: fewer partnerships, deeper relationships, and a level of care that doesn't come from a playbook.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We're hiring a Talent Acquisition & Creator Onboarding Specialist to build and scale Coastline's roster. This is a hybrid business development and operational role focused on sourcing high-quality creators, facilitating their entry into the agency, and ensuring their first 90 days set them up for success.
You'll own the full acquisition journey—from identifying the right prospects through outreach, vetting, and CEO handoff, into onboarding and a successful opening quarter. This isn't just sourcing; you're shepherding each creator from first interest through their opening quarter as Coastline talent, safeguarding fit and quality at every step.
There's clear growth potential here. As you scale and prove the function, there's a path to a Director of Talent role ($150K+ with significant residuals), overseeing multiple acquisition channels, talent manager management, and agency-wide talent strategy. We invest in people who are self-starters and demonstrate consistent impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Talent Acquisition & Prospecting
- Identify and evaluate prospective creators across food & beverage, fitness, and lifestyle, building a pipeline that reflects Coastline's standard for quality and fit
- Source talent whose audience, aesthetic, and output meet agency benchmarks, with a sharp eye for creators operating at a premium tier
- Read the work like a strategist: content quality, editorial point of view, engagement depth, and how an audience actually behaves rather than how large it is
- Assess brand fit, partnership history, and commercial trajectory to gauge long-term management potential
- Build a complete picture of each creator across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Substack, LinkedIn, Pinterest, LTK, owned websites, and product lines
Outreach & Positioning
- Define sourcing criteria—the verticals, sub-niches, and creator profiles worth pursuing—and refine that thesis as the market and our roster evolve
- Map where the right creators live: the platforms and communities they're active in, industry moments worth attending (Aspen Food & Wine, Tales of the Cocktail, marquee influencer marketing events), and the rooms one tier above the obvious ones
- Shape Coastline's positioning around access to brands creators can't reach alone, partnerships built around their individuality, and genuine career development tailored to each person
- Understand each creator's ambitions, earnings expectations, and management needs before outreach, so every approach lands as considered rather than cold
- Maintain a disciplined pipeline in HubSpot, capturing the reasoning behind every yes and no so the strategy continues to refine over time
First Conversation
- Approach each creator as someone whose content you already know well, so the introduction feels like recognition rather than a cold pitch
- Use a video call to gauge interest and mutual fit, sharing Coastline's approach, brand network, and the specific ways we'd add value to their career
- Speak to their world with specificity: the work you admire, where you see them growing, and how our roster and partnerships align with their ambitions
- When fit is there, make the handoff feel like an invitation: "I'd love to introduce you to our CEO to talk through what a partnership could look like"
- On a soft no, leave the door open and revisit in 90 days. On a hard no, close cleanly and capture what you learned
Onboarding & First 90 Days
- Orchestrate the kickoff with our CEO and Talent Manager, capturing each creator's goals and preferences early
- Set new talent up across the platforms that power their business (ShopMy, LTK, Beacons), making the technical feel effortless
- Coordinate contract logistics and keep records clean, from start dates to completion
- Champion the first 90 days as the agency's welcome voice, staying close to new talent and flagging concerns to leadership early
- Assess fit and potential, then recommend whether to retain and which Talent Manager takes them, or facilitate a gracious exit
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Work closely with the CEO: sync weekly on pipeline and opportunities, align sourcing to their vision for the roster, and refine your approach as deals get closed
- Partner with Talent Managers as your internal stakeholders: brief them on incoming talent, learn their preferences, and use their feedback to sharpen the quality of who you bring in
- Coordinate with the COO on onboarding: share creator context and needs, keep timelines moving, and flag blockers before they become friction
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 2+ years of experience in creator/influencer sourcing, business development, or a similar role
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify, and pitch
- Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred, but any CRM counts)
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Self-starter mentality; you work independently but take direction well
- Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to build processes from scratch
- Understanding of the creator economy (influencer marketing, platform dynamics, creator culture)
Preferred
- Prior experience in talent management, an agency, or a creator-focused company
- Experience with influencer platforms (LTK, Beacons, ShopMy, etc.)
- Experience with contract negotiation or business terms
- Track record of building sourcing pipelines or sales funnels
- Experience with event planning, brand partnerships, or creator relations
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and automation tools (Claude, Zapier, etc.)
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE
- Your sourcing strategy is clear, documented, and consistently delivers creators who fit Coastline's standards
- Each creator you bring in feels scouted and personally recognized, not pitched
- Onboarding is smooth and personal; creators feel the care from day one
- The CEO trusts your judgment to flag fit issues early and facilitate graceful exits when needed
- You've not only built a pipeline but created systems that scale and improve over time
- Talent Managers trust the quality of who you bring in and can hit the ground running with new creators
- By the end of 90 days, you've set each creator up to thrive in their first quarter
