Position Summary:
As Director of High School Life, you will lead, manage, and implement vision for High School Life, with mission to love and lead students into an authentic, real, and right relationship with Jesus. Including evaluating and maintaining all ministry elements and assisting in leading and empowering volunteer leaders, while partnering with parents through support and healthy communication.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate weekly gatherings on Sundays and Wednesdays.
• Plan and organize all necessary details for each ministry environment.
• Coordinate leaders and volunteers to be present and lead environments.
• Manage teaching calendar and topics in conjunction with Lead Pastor.
• Coordinate all pieces of service (game, announcements, set up, clean up).
• Connect with and shepherd students in each environment.
• Plan and organize monthly events for HSL students.
• Coordinating and overseeing both Summer and Winter youth camps.
Leadership Care:
• Provide overall direction of ministry goals and vision.
• Regularly communicate the plan and details of the ministry environments.
• Care for and invest in leaders through weekly connections.
• Hold leaders accountable for the commitments they make to HSL.
• Recruit, empower and train volunteer leaders, collaborating with them in areas of student discipleship and connection.
Student Connection
• Be available for students as needs arise for conversation.
• Disciple students as they continue to grow and be more like Jesus.
• Encourage students in their daily walk with the Lord.
• Challenge students to reach out to friends to share the gospel.
• Involve students in the ministry of the church through serving, discipling, and using their gifts.
Parent Connection
• Connect with parents about specific issues related to their students.
• Be available for connection and conversation about High School Life issues.
• Be encouraging and motivating to parents as they build into their students.
Other Responsibilities:
• Maintain a state of organization and cleanliness in the HSL room.
• Review and maintain the annual High School Life budget.
• Be available for church-wide events as needed.
• Attend and be present in the main service on a regular basis.
• Meet weekly with the Family Life and/or Lead Pastor.
• Communicate Student Life vision, needs and opportunities to the church, parents, staff, and volunteers.
• Attend weekly services and staff meetings.
• Oversee the High School Life Ministry Assistant along with overseeing and approving their timesheet.

• Actively maintain an intimate, personal relationship with God.
• Maintain healthy boundaries with family and personal growth.
• Models a strong relationship with his or her spouse (if married) and children (if applicable).
• Strives to fulfill his or her purpose in life and ministry, while demonstrating integrity in words, relationships, and actions.
• Prays continually for the High School Life ministry.
Qualifications & Skills:
• 2-3 Years of applicable experience, developing ministry programs, teams, and ministry vision.
• Proven leadership and management experience.
• Proven ability to motivate, encourage and mentor staff.
• Proven ability to multitask several projects at one time.
• Shows an established commitment to students and their spiritual growth.
• Strong communication and teaching skills.
Physical Demands:
The employee must possess mobility to work in a standard office environment and to use standard office equipment, including a computer. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision to read printed material and a computer screen, close vision, color vision and depth perception; hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone. The employee must also frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, controls. The employee must be able to drive and attend meetings at various sites and run errands.
