Remote senior project/product manager position modernizing IRS forms (contract to hire)

As a Senior Lead Product/Project Manager IRS at COA, you’ll work alongside a cross functional product and engineering team solving some of the toughest problems in government. 


In this project, you will be helping taxpayers provide direct access to the United Residency Certification (Form 8802)  for the first time. You will help shape and lead a cross functional design and engineering team in a high impact and high compliant delivery environment


What you'll do

  • Help deliver a consumer facing digital product for a high priority form critical to tax payers by navigating IRS compliance processes 
  • Work with a high performing, senior cross functional engineering and design team helping to navigate existing IRS software development processes
  • Implement a Human Centered Design process (HCD) and delivering technology through sprint cycles with our existing Product Manager 
  • Help manage and delegate necessary project reporting requirements for the IRS 


Required skills

  • 5 years of project management experience in a federal agency 
  • Ability to work with a design and software development team alongside a product manager 
  • Proactive and independently build relationships with key stakeholders necessary to achieve project outcomes in a high compliance environment
  • Ability to create and map goals and objectives and help teams make progress against them
  • Detail oriented and reliable supported by a curious mindset that drives user knowledge and product clarity
  • Highly collaborative with a strategic mindset that helps build meaningful, collaboration across stakeholders and assess tradeoffs against short and long term needs 


Preferred skills

  • Prior experience with delivering through IRS development pipelines:
  • Compliance: OneSDLC, PCLIA, ATO, CMP
  • Technology: IEP, IOLA/BOLA, SADI
  • 3+ years of experience working within IRS project deliver 
  • Experience in implementing digital accessibility standards and internationalization

Salary

$145,000 - $180,000 per year
