CMIT, a prominent player in the IT services industry, is looking for a Systems Engineer & Administrator. This is an in-person role without option for remote work in Cranston RI. This role involves a combination of administrative oversight and technical expertise. The ideal candidate will possess superior attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills. Additionally, they should have advanced analytical abilities to assess complex systems, identify potential issues, and develop effective solutions. Systems Engineer Responsibilities:

·        Administer internal systems security and structure, including PSA, RMM, and our knowledge base

·        Conduct client technical stack deployments, performing reviews, and carrying out systems reconciliations

·        Develop and maintain system integrations and components, including but not limited to application-to-application integrations, services, internal and external API

·        Develop automation mapping to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency

·        Complete administrative tasks that pertain to client on-boarding and client de-boarding projects as well as employee on-boarding and off-boarding

·        Maintain and updates documentation for internal systems and procedures

·        Provide external department training on core tools

·        Engage with and provide support for clients and internal users

·        Responsible for NOC alert monitoring and remediation, including server and backup failures

·        Conduct Microsoft 365 license provisioning and assignment count reconciliations

·        Generating advance reporting and metrics

·        Participate in client security audits

·        Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

·        3+ years’ experience in a technical support role

·        Exceptional critical thinking and attention to detail

·        Experience with ticketing and RMM systems (Autotask and Datto RMM preferred)

·        An understanding of systems integrations and API

·        Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Azure and Active Directory

·        Windows server and desktop troubleshooting and failure remediation

·        Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

·        MacOS experience preferably with MDM including Jamf

Preferred Education:

·        Associate’s degree in computer science

·        CompTIA A+ | Network+ | Security+
