Bilingual Nurse (RN/LVN) or Medical Assistant

MyMD Select is looking for a bilingual English/Spanish nurse or medical assistant who enjoys building relationships with patients and working closely with a supportive clinical team. Our membership-based primary care model gives us the opportunity to know our patients, respond to their needs, and provide thoughtful, personal care.
What you’ll do
- Welcome and room patients, obtain vital signs, review medications and allergies, and prepare charts for visits.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, preventive care, and chronic care follow-up.
- Perform point-of-care testing, EKGs, specimen collection and processing, and other clinical tasks appropriate to your role and training.
- Administer injections and vaccines when authorized for your role; nurses may also provide nursing assessments, patient education, and IV therapy within their scope and training.
- Communicate with patients in English and Spanish by phone, message, and in person, helping them understand instructions and next steps.
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record and coordinate with providers and teammates to keep patient care moving smoothly.
- Recognize concerns that need prompt attention and bring them to the appropriate licensed clinician.
What we’re looking for
- Fluency in spoken English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate clearly and warmly with patients in both languages.
- An active Texas RN or LVN license or medical assistant experience or training.
- Strong clinical skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety.
- Experience in primary care, family medicine, urgent care, or a similar outpatient setting preferred. Experienced nurses with strong assessment skills are especially encouraged to apply.
- Comfort with electronic medical records and a willingness to learn new workflows.
- A dependable, collaborative teammate who follows through and knows when to ask questions or escalate a concern.
