Client First Technologies currently is seeking an experienced Windows System Administrator who will work as a part of a team to ensure the reliable and secure hosting of a .NET web application.

This is a full-time, remote position supporting our federal customer. After-hours work may be required to support system updates or incident response. Responsibilities

 

  • Act as subject matter expert for the operational environment of a .NET web application hosted on Windows Server
  • Develop server requirements (e.g., system specifications, system images, network access, etc.) and coordinate with the hosting platform to have the server built
  • Configure newly built and existing servers to ensure they remain accessible, operational, and reliable
  • Configure Internet Information Services (IIS) to host the .NET web application
  • Ensure certificates are installed, configured, and updated prior to expiration
  • Implement applicable DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements
  • Support the identification and implementation of appropriate security controls
  • Develop artifacts and documentation regarding system configuration
  • Coordinate with the development team regarding upcoming releases
  • Participate in change/configuration control process and meetings
  • Support the deployment of the application to the server environments
  • Install and update system applications
  • Install Windows Server system updates and patches
  • Respond to and resolve system events and incidents for minimal downtime
  • Maintain system backups and perform restores

 

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or higher
  • CompTIA Security+ CE (or other qualifying DoD baseline certification)
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications preferred
  • 5 years experience administering Windows Server environments
  • Experience administering web application servers (including IIS)
  • Experience administering Windows Server 2019
  • Experience administering newly built and existing servers
  • Experience with DoD hosting environments
  • Experience with DoD security practices (e.g., Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG))
  • Experience with Agile delivery programs
  • Must be able to work quickly with a high degree of accuracy with cross-functional teams
