As a Systems Administrator on our team, you will ensure the student training infrastructure is functional and available and the virtual desktops are properly configured. You will identify and resolve technical issues through monitoring and performance management in a mission critical network. Utilize communication skills to turn metrics into information and communicate their meaning. This is an opportunity to gain experience in managing users and computers in an enterprise network. Responsibilities

• Resolve hardware and software related issues within a secured federal environment
• Provide onsite and virtual technical support
• Manage technical issues within a ticketing system
• Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies
• Server patching, deployments and upgrades
• Communicate and document system issues, downtime, troubleshooting processes and procedures
• Monitor system performance and ensure availability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field preferred
• VMware Certified Professional 5 Certification or higher desired
• 10+ years of experience providing cyber security, network support or hardware installation
• Experience with system administration supporting DoD network systems, including Navy POR systems preferred
• Experience with Dell or Cisco UCS server management
• Experience with implementing VMware, Linux, and Windows STIGs
• Experience with PowerShell, PowerCLI, or NaviCLI
• Experience with EMC VNX, XtremIO, or Unity storage arrays using fiber channel or FCoE
• Knowledge of DoD security compliance auditing, DoD hardening, RMF, STIGs, and PKI

Physical Demands

• Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time
• Occasional travel and overtime may be required

Required Clearances

The ability to pass a Government Background Investigation (BI); a current SECRET (or higher) security clearance preferred
