Client First Technologies Senior IT Project Manager Remote · Full time

Client First Technologies (CFT) is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to join our diverse team of technical professionals to support our federal government customer in managing large enterprise license agreements. Senior IT Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Support all phases of project management: initiation, planning, execution, and closeout while following the best practices within the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) and federal government standards and procedures
  • Perform project management tasks for multiple, concurrent projects all of which are at various stages of the project management lifecycle
  • Perform business process analyses to identify opportunities for new or improved business process solutions and provide recommendations to leadership
  • Perform business process re-engineering tasks to optimize and improve existing processes. 
  • Develop formal project charters
  • Facilitate project kick-offs, working groups, and status meetings
  • Conduct formal project reviews
  • Ensure stakeholders (Program Managers, customers, and project teams) are informed about current projects
  • Coordinate with partners and internal/external customers
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules
  • Monitor project milestones and critical dates to identify potential schedule slippage and offer mitigations
  • Ensure risks associated with cost, resources, schedule, and technical aspects of projects are identified, assessed, documented, tracked and mitigated
  • Develop System Development plans, track activities to the plan, and communicate status
  • Participate in the development of project standards, procedures, and quality objectives
  • Identify artifacts needed to establish and maintain control of the project
  • Communicate responsibilities to project members
  • Review project activities with management and project teams
  • Develop estimates for a project’s effort, cost, and critical resources
  • Notify stakeholders of approved changes
  • Track effort, cost, resources, development activities, and schedule and take corrective actions as necessary
  • Make and use measurements to determine the status of planning, tracking, and oversight activities

Senior IT Project Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Mathematics, or related discipline
  • 8 or more years of professional technical or related experience
  • 6 or more years successfully managing IT projects
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise software licensing functions
  • Experience with ancillary activities associated with IT projects, such as process improvement/business process re-engineering, business and systems analysis and performance management
  • Understand government acquisition processes
  • Experience managing projects within Microsoft Project
  • Be an effective communicator (written and verbally)
  • Hold relevant certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional; ITIL) 
  • Be able to take ownership of tasks and work independently

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
  • Occasional travel and overtime may be required

Required Clearances

The ability to pass a Government Background Investigation (BI)
