Client First Technologies is currently seeking a Disaster Recovery Analyst. The Disaster Recovery Analyst will manage company backup systems on premises and within the cloud to ensure disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Managing backup systems, including troubleshooting failed jobs and running make-up jobs as necessary on a daily basis
  • Monitoring backup jobs and alerts to ensure that backups are valid and occurring on a desired frequency
  • Managing tape rotations and storage allocation both on premises and in the cloud
  • Maintaining, updating and documenting the company disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including new acquisitions when necessary
  • Conducting analysis of company systems to determine risks and implement disaster recovery best practices
  • Scheduling, managing, and conducting backup testing and disaster recovery plan testing on a frequent basis
  • Ensuring compliance with departmental policies (i.e., change management, security standards, release management, incident management)
  • Setup and configure Veeam on server/client
  • Monitor daily Veeam activity and reporting to proactively avoid issues Modify and optimize backup schedules
  • Improve automation and productivity of backups through scripting enhancements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve missed and failed Veeam backups
  • Interface with vendors for escalation of issues
  • Update Veeam policies and procedures

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience a backup administrator or DR analyst
  • Demonstrated experience resolving complicated hardware cases and collaborating with Hardware Vendor/ Veeam support
  • IT support experience, particularly in a server-based environment
  • Experience with Windows OS, MacOS, and/or Linux OS
  • Experience with Veeam backup software or other comparable platforms
  • Experience with SANs or other storage systems
  • Virtual infrastructure and VM knowledge
  • VMware and Hyper V knowledge
  • Active Secret clearance

 

Physical Demands

Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time

Occasional travel and overtime may be required

 

Required Clearances

MUST possess an active Secret Clearance or higher
