Client First Technologies Cloud Data Engineer Remote Remote · Full time

Client First Technologies (CFT) is looking for a mid-level Cloud Data Engineer to support our DC-area federal customer in managing large enterprise license agreements. Our ideal candidate will be able to effectively demonstrate and implement their experience with cloud infrastructure to help maintain and optimize the system that manages ITOPs data.

  • Work with team members to develop and implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy solutions within Azure
  • Participate in all aspects of software development life cycle (SDLC) for Azure implementation including planning, requirements, development, testing, and QA
  • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventative measures
  • Document changes for all parts of solution implementation
  • Present/educate key stakeholders on implementation of new solutions




  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Cloud platforms (experience with Azure strongly preferred); minimum of 6 years if no degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with SQL products; minimum of 6 years if no degree
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools; minimum of 6 years if no degree
  • Strong communication skills




  • Azure certifications preferred


Physical Demands


  • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
  • Occasional travel and overtime may be required


Required Clearances and Screenings


  • Must be able to successfully satisfy a Tier 2/Moderate Risk Background Investigation.
