The Tech Design Intern provides hands-on support to Cleobella's Tech Design team during fit sessions and sample prep. This role is a great introduction to the tech design function within an import fashion brand — the intern will learn how to measure samples, prep garments for fit, take fit notes during fit sessions, and keep sample racks organized.

Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Measure incoming samples (protos, fit samples, PPs, TOPs) against tech packs and spec sheets, and log measurements accurately.
  • Steam and prep garments ahead of fit sessions, photoshoots, and presentations.
  • Take detailed fit notes during fit sessions under the direction of the Technical Designers.
  • Organize and maintain sample racks/storage by style, vendor, and delivery.
  • Assist with general tech design administrative tasks — filing, photo documentation, and WIP tracker updates.


Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/program in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, or related field.
  • Interest in garment construction and fit; coursework or project experience a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets for basic tracking.
  • Ability to work on-site and handle physical tasks (steaming, moving/organizing samples).

Schedule & Compensation

Part-time, hours flexible based on candidate availability. Available as a paid, hourly position or unpaid for school credit, depending on candidate needs.
