Clanton is growing! We are adding a full-time CADD Technician II position to our team. This position will support project teams by performing drafting and design tasks using a variety of CADD and other productivity software. Candidate will create models, plans and construction details under the guidance of senior technicians and project managers, and assist with maintaining project documentation and adhering to company drafting standards.

Primary Role & Responsibilities 

  • Create plans, details and diagrams for a wide variety of lighting and electrical projects using AutoCAD, MicroStation and Revit 
  • Use and develop graphic standards 
  • Develop skills towards performing quality control reviews of drawings and documents 
  • Demonstrates ownership and responsibility for project deadlines with a commitment to quality 
  • Coordinates and communicates with Project Managers and designers in a team-based environment 


Qualifications and Required Skills 

  • Associate of Applied Science Degree in CADD or Certificate in CADD  
  • Minimum of 2 years of practical hands-on CAD experience using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation 
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and a working knowledge of Microstation.  Experience using REVIT is helpful 
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and/or technical drawings 
  • Willingness to self-learn new software 
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills, as well as active listening skills 

 

Preferred Skills and Credentials 

  • 2+ years working experience in AutoCAD or MicroStation creating working models, plans and details 
  • Experience with lighting and electrical plan production 
  • Proficiency in REVIT, GIS, SketchUp, Photoshop, Acrobat, AGI32, Bluebeam, Illustrator, Rhino, Microsoft Office products 
  • Familiar with ASHRAE 90.1 & 189.1, CDOT, LEED, NEC, Electrical Utility Standards 


 

Salary

$67,000 - $80,000 per year
