This is a field-facing technical role with two equally important responsibilities: converting new accounts through the trial process, and ensuring existing accounts run Cirkla trays smoothly at scale. On the new business side, you own the tray trial process from sample handoff through shelf-life test completion, visiting customer plants, running trays on their lines, and building direct relationships with the QA managers and plant managers who make or break an adoption decision. On the account side, you are the ongoing technical owner for live customers. When a line has an issue, you are the first call. When a customer is ramping volumes or adding SKUs, you are on-site. The goal is zero technical surprises and high confidence in Cirkla as a supplier.

What You’ll Do

  • New Account Trials & Line Qualification
  • Support customers in adopting Cirkla's patented tray technology, a high-performance sustainable alternative to plastic trays
  • Visit customer sites during trials and tray testing; observe performance and troubleshoot technical or application-related issues on the line
  • Support customers in integrating trays onto their existing lines and equipment; denesting, line speed, pad compatibility, sealing parameters
  • Own the shelf-life test end-to-end: ship samples, deliver the technical data package, follow up weekly, and answer QA questions directly
  • Proactively identify issues during trials and provide on-site or remote technical resolution
  • Ongoing Account Management
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for all active customers post-conversion
  • Conduct regular check-ins and site visits to ensure customers are running Cirkla trays smoothly at their current volumes
  • Respond rapidly to line issues, quality concerns, or operational changes at customer facilities
  • Track account health indicators
  • Technical Liaison & Sales Enablement
  • Maintain a live view of trial status across active pipeline accounts
  • Capture customer feedback, test results, line performance data, and improvement opportunities
  • Document trial learnings and maintain customer technical records
  • Coordinate with R&D, production, and quality teams to implement required product or process modifications
  • Feed competitive intelligence back to the sales team: equipment in use, incumbent suppliers, objections raised at customer sites

Who You Are

  • 3–6 years of experience in technical sales, application engineering, or packaging roles
  • Strong understanding of packaging materials, food trays, or industrial packaging applications
  • Proven ability to manage ongoing customer relationships, not just close trials
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills; able to work independently at a customer site
  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts simply
  • Willingness to travel frequently for customer visits and account management across the US
  • Hands-on experience with MAP/VSP, overwrap, or fresh protein packaging is a plus
