Position Overview:

As our Collections Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial health of our clinic, covering our diverse service lines. Your responsibilities will be diverse, ranging from managing accounts receivable to coordinating with our administrative team. We are seeking a true professional with at least five years of collections experience in a medical setting and a passion for helping patients get services.

Circle Creek Therapy is a thriving private practice clinic located in Auburn, WA, dedicated to providing exceptional pediatric therapy services in speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy to children, adults, and their families. This role is in-person, as we believe in the power of teamwork and collaboration within our clinic.

  

Responsibilities:

Flexible:

  • Primary responsibility for managing accounts receivable (A/R), coordinating closely with the Billing Specialist.
  • Address denials and rebills efficiently across all service lines.
  • Monitor and resolve account balances and old claims for speech therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy.


Intentional:

  • Oversee follow-up procedures, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding accounts for all service lines.
  • Handle insurance issues and address reimbursement rates/underpayments.
  • Coordinate with the Executive Assistant on Collections and Refunds across all service lines.


Empathetic:

  • Approach families with empathy and understanding while seeking resolution to their accounts.
  • Handle insurance medical records requests and appeals in a compassionate manner, coordinating with the Billing Specialist.


Resourceful:

  • Monitor payments and collaborate with the Admin Executive to update fee schedules as needed.
  • Identify errors, fix modifiers, and address error codes proactively across all service lines.


Collaborative:

  • Work closely with the administrative team to ensure a seamless collections process.
  • Collaborate with the Billing Specialist on coordinating collections efforts across all service lines.


Enthusiastic:

  • Bring a positive attitude to the team, fostering a collaborative and enjoyable work environment.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in medical billing and collections.
  • Familiarity with Raintree EMR is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to working in an in-person setting (not remote).
