What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage daily replacement and recalibration operations, including technician scheduling, job flow, work assignments, quality control, and operational decisions for assigned field teams.
  • Ensure technicians follow SOPs, manufacturer requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Serve as the designated safety officer for field technicians across CO, IN, NV, and WI, ensuring safety procedures are followed, safety concerns are addressed promptly, and quarterly safety training is completed and documented.
  • Track technician performance through clear KPIs, including efficiency, quality, callbacks, customer issues, and completed replacement and recalibration work.
  • Handle escalated customer concerns, problem jobs, vendor issues, insurance coordination, fleet account needs, and partner communications.
  • Coordinate recalibration workflow, equipment use, vehicle readiness, and parts ordering accuracy.
  • Directly supervise 10 to 20 technicians and field staff, including coaching, evaluations, and recommendations on hiring, discipline, advancement, and employment status.
  • Maintain operational efficiency, service quality, profitability, and accurate leadership reporting for the Field Operations department.


About You

Education Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in business, automotive technology, or related field preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Outreach Training preferred; must be willing to obtain the training within six months of hire if not already completed.

Experience Qualifications

  • 7+ years of related industry or technical experience in automotive glass, recalibration, field service, or a related trade required.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience directing work, coaching employees, evaluating performance, and exercising independent judgment required.
  • Experience supporting replacement and recalibration work for light and medium duty vehicles preferred.

Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to supervise 10 to 20 skilled or semi-skilled employees, set priorities, monitor quality, and manage performance using sound judgment.
  • Strong working knowledge of automotive glass replacement, recalibration workflow, field service coordination, and operational needs.
  • Ability to direct field operations, resolve issues, and determine methods for new assignments using independent judgment.
  • Strong communication skills for working with technicians, customers, vendors, insurance partners, fleet accounts, and internal leaders.
  • Sound judgment in resolving escalated service issues, prioritizing competing demands, and asking for support when needed.
  • Organized approach to scheduling, inventory, equipment use, reporting, coaching, and follow-through.


About the Working Environment 

  • This fully remote, Colorado-based position requires up to 100% travel. About 80% in-state/20% out of state to job sites, customer locations, technician work areas, and vendor locations in CO, plus at least quarterly visits to IN, NV, and WI.
  • The role requires frequent communication by phone, email, video, and in person, and may involve time in vehicles, field environments, shops, and customer-facing service settings.
