Chicago Therapy Collective is the largest nonprofit provider of LGBTQ+ mental health services in Illinois, providing psychotherapy to individuals (adults, teens, and elders), couples, and families across the state. We believe healing is relational, political, and collective. Our work is grounded in depth-oriented, liberation-focused approaches to healing, including (but not limited to!) Liberation Psychology, contemporary psychodynamic thought, feminist & relational-cultural approaches, humanistic/existential traditions, IFS, somatic modalities, and intersectional, anti-oppressive practice. We are seeking a full-time Staff Therapist who is clinically strong, ethically rigorous, and deeply aligned with our mission. Our multi-lingual team is able to provide services in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian and Arabic and we especially encourage those who can add to the linguistic availability & diversity of our team to apply.
Clinicians are encouraged to design therapy groups and may contribute to trainings, community programs, or special initiatives.
Additional interest and/or experience in providing clinical care to some of the following groups also served by CTC strongly sought: kinky individuals; couples and families; those impacted by HIV; non-monogamous/poly folks; artists and creatives; sex workers; activists and community organizers; those navigating addiction or substance abuse; migrants & asylum seekers; those experiencing extreme states, psychosis, or hearing voices; and others historically excluded, pathologized, or underserved by traditional mental health systems.
Importantly, CTC’s funding model allows clinicians to carry low-fee/no-fee clients while being paid their full rate. We do not impose session limits or arbitrary treatment caps. Our model supports long-term, relational work aligned with client needs– not insurance or funding timelines.
Apply with resume and cover letter describing your clinical approach, experience, and alignment with CTC’s mission.
If you believe therapy is more than symptom reduction — if you believe it is relational, liberatory, and accountable to community — we’d love to hear from you.
