Position Summary:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the day-to-day movement of product through our fulfillment operation—receiving inbound shipments, storing and organizing inventory, and picking, packing, and shipping customer and retail orders accurately. This is a hands-on, physical role that rewards attention to detail, reliability, and pride in doing the job right. The Warehouse Associate works as part of a close-knit warehouse team and plays a direct role in delivering the quality and service that define the Chêne brand.
Key Responsibilities:
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
- Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Safely load and unload trucks.
- Organize inventory and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts (where certified).
- Perform routine inventory counts and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company policies and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior warehouse, fulfillment, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience is a plus.
- Ability to accurately read and fulfill orders, packing lists, and shipping documents.
- Comfortable using handheld scanners, computers, and basic warehouse or inventory software.
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to accuracy.
- Dependable and punctual, able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift certification, or willingness to become certified, is a plus.
- An interest in the outdoors, hunting, or the Chêne brand is a plus.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Work is performed in a warehouse environment that may not be climate-controlled and can include exposure to seasonal temperatures, noise, and dust.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the warehouse for the duration of a shift.
- Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and occasionally more with assistance or equipment.
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motion are required.
- Must be able to safely operate warehouse equipment and follow all safety protocols.
- May require occasional overtime, including during peak seasons.
