This role is responsible for evaluating, repairing, testing, and restoring customer waders to ensure they meet Chêne's quality standards before returning to the field.

Key Responsibilities:

Wader Inspection & Evaluation

  • Inspect returned waders and identify leaks, damage, and repair needs.
  • Assess warranty claims and accurately document findings within company systems.
  • Determine appropriate repair methods based on product condition and repair standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, testing, and outcomes.

Repair & Restoration

  • Perform repairs including patching, seam sealing, waterproofing, and component replacement.
  • Utilize specialized tools, adhesives, sealants, and repair techniques to restore product performance.
  • Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
  • Follow established repair procedures and continuously improve repair techniques.

Quality Testing & Assurance

  • Conduct water testing, pressure testing, and other quality inspections to verify repair effectiveness.
  • Ensure repaired products meet Chêne's performance and durability standards before being returned to customers.
  • Identify recurring repair trends and communicate findings to leadership when appropriate.
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy across all repair work.

Service & Operational Support

  • Partner with the Customer Experience team to provide repair updates and estimated completion timelines.
  • Maintain organization of repair inventory, tools, and workstations.
  • Monitor repair supply levels and communicate inventory needs.
  • Support department goals related to turnaround time, repair quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.


Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to learn technical repair processes and apply them consistently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience repairing garments, technical apparel, outdoor equipment, or waders.
  • Experience with waterproof materials, adhesives, seam-sealing techniques, or related repair processes.
  • Background in sewing, manufacturing, product repair, quality assurance, or craftsmanship-focused work.
  • Passion for hunting, fishing, or outdoor recreation.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and move throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements while completing repairs.
  • Comfortable working with repair tools, adhesives, and testing equipment.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime during peak service and hunting seasons.
  • Work is performed primarily in a warehouse and repairs facility environment.
