As a Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in identifying new business opportunities and contributing to long-term business growth. Your primary goal will be to expand the customer base by communicating with and developing strong relationships with potential customers.

Chemical sales experience is required.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential customers.
  • Generate and qualify leads through various channels, including cold calling, email campaigns, and networking events.
  • Engage with prospective customers to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Present our range of products and services, highlighting the benefits and value proposition to prospects.
  • Utilize CRM software to manage leads, track progress, and maintain accurate records of sales activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and challenges.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to provide feedback on the effectiveness of lead generation campaigns and suggest improvements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and retention.
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve targets.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to sales management.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as requested.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of successful B2B sales experience in the chemical industry.
  • Experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Account Executive, or similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls).
  • Track record of achieving sales quotas.
  • Understanding of marketing strategy and sales techniques.
  • Understanding of chemical products and their applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage prospects effectively.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • PC proficient, and ability to use commonly used software to support sales and business activities.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
