Our industry-leading chargeback protection company is seeking a full-time, collaborative and effective Accounting Manager to ensure the accuracy and accessibility of company financial records and manage daily accounting functions. The Accounting Manager will serve as the primary accounting professional within our rapidly growing company.

Description

Responsibilities and Duties


  • Perform month end close process and prepare financial statements
  • Reconciling all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
  • Reconcile sales, deposits, and bank balance
  • Managing AR/AP, distributions and other payment requests 
  • Manage and improve accounting systems and procedures
  • Year End tax filing and audit activities 
  • Manage W9 forms and 1099 filings
  • Oversee treasury duties, credit card management, and banking access
  • Lead the creation, preparation and rollout of the fiscal budget
  • Assist in Budgeting, Forecasting, and Variance analysis
  • Assisting with special projects and other corporate financial requirements
  • Other areas of responsibility as assigned


Competencies


  • Strong knowledge of accrual based accounting and GAAP
  • Advanced expertise in Quickbooks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including high level of MS Excel functions such as Pivot Table, vlookup.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, shareholders or other outside partners
  • Takes initiative; possesses superb analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to make decisions with incomplete information
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 4 years of of progressive, full cycle, general accounting experience
  • Technologically savvy with advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software
  • Extensive experience with Quickbooks and online bank account transactions


Physical Requirements


  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer screen
  • Must be able to regularly lift at least 15 lbs at times


Work Location 

  • Mainly remote (>90%), though only hiring candidates living in Orange County and the Greater Los Angeles area
  • Occasional in-person meetings
  • Monthly team meet ups

Salary

$80,000 - $90,000 per year
