Responsibilities include:
- Stay up-to-date on client priorities to ensure your team is aligned with client marketing/PR initiatives and they are delighted with our services
- Contribute to client status reports and weekly calls
- Collaborate and communicate closely with your supervisor and other team members
- Develop local marketing plans to create buzz for new location openings, struggling locations or market introductions
- Demonstrate excellent communication, management and customer service skills at all times
- Write, edit and/or contribute to media alerts, talking points and other client-facing materials
- Manage the press release process
- Draft compelling pitch requests to arm the PR team to generate coverage;
- As needed, conduct follow-up calls with local media to generate additional media coverage
- Pitch and secure product drops and/or round-ups across the country;
- Submit calendar and event listings
- Identifying and developing relationships with influencers
- Calculate media values including estimated audience and impressions
- Monitor media coverage and send reporting to clients; and,
- Contribute to creative and “big splash” ideation with Champion’s team on behalf of all of the agency’s clients
Qualifications

Education: A degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in public relations, with a proven track record of managing client accounts and leading successful campaigns.

- High-level organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.

The ideal candidate has a college degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related discipline; is a team player who is also comfortable working with limited supervision; has one to three years of experience; has outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; and is energetic, organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated.
