Background
Cephable is an on-device AI productivity assistant. We help people and enterprises control, create, and automate their work directly on the device, through voice, gesture, and more, with every bit of AI inference running locally. Nothing goes to the cloud. That means lower token and inference cost, data that never leaves the machine, and a workforce that moves faster as AI enters how they work. We're built on Universal Design principles: technology that adapts to how each person works best.
We punch above our size. Our partners include Intel, Qualcomm, Lenovo, HP, Dell, Microsoft, and the reseller ecosystem, SHI, Insight, Connection, and TD SYNNEX. These brands may get you in the room, but what happens next is your job.
The role, plainly
You own our direct enterprise sales. Today that means taking real, in-flight enterprise opportunities and driving them to close, then building net-new pipeline off your own relationships and our brand. You'll work alongside the founder, who has been carrying direct sales himself, and a BDR booking meetings. You are the closer. The number is yours.
What you'll own
- Take over the existing direct pipeline and drive those deals to close.
- Source net-new enterprise opportunities through your own outreach and relationships, not just inbound.
- Run the full cycle: discovery, multi-threading, technical eval and POC, security review, procurement, legal, negotiation, close.
- Sell to the whole buying committee: the CFO on cost, the CIO and CISO on privacy and security, the business on productivity.
- Use our partner and OEM brand to open doors, and coordinate with our channel motion when a deal transacts through a reseller.
- Keep HubSpot honest and forecast a number you can stand behind.
Who you are
- 7+ years selling enterprise technology or software, full cycle, and you've carried and hit a real quota. Not assisted, carried.
- You've closed $50K–$100K+ deals and pushed them through enterprise procurement, security, and legal without losing the thread.
- You've built pipeline from nothing. You know how to manufacture opportunity, not just work what marketing hands you.
- You can hold your own with a CFO, a CISO, and a line-of-business VP in the same week.
- You're motivated by money and ownership, and an uncapped first-year plan reads as opportunity, not risk.
- AI or ML sales experience is a plus. It is not required. Comfort selling a fast-moving, technical, category-defining product is.
Who this is NOT for
Read this part carefully. We'd rather you opt out now than three months in.
- If you need an SDR army, a full sales-engineering bench, and marketing air cover to hit your number, this isn't your seat. We're a garage, not a machine. You'll build your own playbook as you sell it.
- If you're a relationship manager who farms accounts but doesn't hunt, pass.
- If this would be your first real closing role, this is too much, too fast.
- If a 50/50 base-to-variable split makes you nervous, we're not aligned. The upside here is earned, not guaranteed.
What you're signing up for
- $200K OTE, split 50/50: $100K base, $100K target variable. Uncapped commissions in year one, with accelerators that pay multiples as you blow past quota.
- Meaningful equity. This is a ground-floor seat, and we mean it.
- Direct line to the founder and CEO. Your deals get executive attention, not a queue.
- A product with a real wedge, on-device and no-cloud, that the CFO, the CISO, and the end user each have their own reason to say yes to.
- Partner credibility, Intel, Qualcomm, Lenovo, HP, Dell, Microsoft, SHI, Insight, Connection, TD SYNNEX, that gets you in the door.
The honest part
We're a young company and we're hiring you to help change our trajectory. Your first quarter is knowledge transfer and taking over live deals. Ramp is real, months, not weeks. You'll be building the direct motion, not inheriting a finished one. That's the challenge, and it's the point. If that energizes you, we should talk. If it worries you, we'd both rather know now.
