Position Summary

Centrillium Protein is seeking a skilled Utilities & Industrial Maintenance Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and repair of critical utility systems and production equipment. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability of our ammonia refrigeration system, boilers, HVAC equipment, PLC-controlled machinery, and other plant utilities to keep production running safely and efficiently.

Essential Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Operate and maintain industrial boilers, HVAC systems, and plant utilities.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, electrical systems, motors, and controls.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
• Perform routine inspections and document maintenance activities.
• Work closely with Production and Operations to ensure equipment reliability.
• Follow all OSHA, USDA, GMP, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and company safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, HVAC, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Must possess a current Ammonia Refrigeration Certified (RETA, CARO, CIRO, or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration, boilers, HVAC systems, and PLC troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in a food manufacturing or USDA-inspected facility.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
