Job Title: Mental Health Post Master Fellow

Job Overview:
The Clinical Mental Health Fellowship Program was established to help increase the mental health workforce by providing access to free clinical supervision and free clinical hours for persons who wish to enter the field, but may need to maintain a full-time position at their current place of employment. We are proud to offer reimbursement for up to two clinical licensing exams, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their path to becoming licensed professionals.
This position differs from an Intern primarily in four ways:
- As a post-master fellow, you will contribute to delivering high-quality mental health services to our clients while pursuing your clinical licensure goals.
- This position provides free clinical supervision hours and free access to clinical hours.
- You are eligible for reimbursement for up to two clinical licensing exams.
- You must be available at least 15 hours per week. Hours include:
- One hour weekly group supervision on Monday at noon
- One hour weekly or biweekly individual supervision
Responsibilities:
- Complete client assessments and evaluations.
- Contribute to the development of individualized care plans during treatment planning meetings.
- Observe and document client progress, behaviors, and interactions during therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to implement therapeutic interventions and strategies.
- Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records per agency policies and procedures.
- Stay informed about current developments in mental health through training and workshops.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated ability to interact with clients from diverse backgrounds effectively
- Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling or related field from a CACREP Accredited Program and progressing towards independent licensure in the state of Tennessee (LPC-MHSP, LCSW or LMFT)
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic interventions and treatment modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients
- Empathy and compassion for individuals with behavioral health concerns
- Knowledge of and adherence to legal and ethical guidelines in mental health practice
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- If applying for the Office of Child, Adolescent, and Families, a minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience with youth who have mental health issues (trauma, anxiety, transitional issues, identity, depression, etc.) is required.
