Job Overview:

Our mental health services organization is seeking a Volunteer Program Enrollment Coordinator to assist with enrolling individuals in our programs and removing barriers to attending appointments. This community-focused role requires a dedicated and empathetic individual with excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum high school diploma and a passion for helping others. Persons seeking to become certified as a Young Adult Peer Support Specialist are strongly encouraged to apply.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct outreach to individuals and families in the community to inform them of our mental health programs and services
  • Enroll eligible individuals into programs and assist with filling out necessary paperwork
  • Conduct focus groups to gather feedback from program participants and make recommendations for program improvement
  • Provide case management services to program participants, including assisting with scheduling appointments, providing transportation, and providing support in navigating any barriers to attending appointments
  • Facilitate employment and recovery skills group training
  • Facilitate substance use relapse prevention groups
  • Maintain accurate records of program enrollment and attendance
  • Collaborate with other members of the mental health services team to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to program participants
  • Attend community events and meetings to promote mental health services and build relationships with community partners


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field preferred
  • Experience working with individuals with mental health/substance abuse needs
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
  • Knowledge of community resources and ability to connect program participants with appropriate services
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions with program participants
