Operations Coordinator


Full-Time | $45,000-60,000 Salary | Start Date: January 1, 2027

Reports to: Senior Connections Director


Overview

The Operations Coordinator is a get-it-done person who turns plans into action by bringing organization, logistics, and follow-through to the day-to-day life of Center Church. This role supports ministry, operations, missions, and prayer by managing the details, systems, schedules, and resources that keep things moving. They anticipate needs, identify what needs to happen next, and take ownership of making sure it happens well.


The Operations Coordinator provides the behind-the-scenes support that allows ministry leaders to focus on leading their ministries. They coordinate initiatives, maintain systems and recurring processes, and ensure projects and events are prepared and executed well. They help established ministries stay in maintenance mode through healthy rhythms and reliable follow-through, bringing initiative, clarity, consistency, and excellence to the details that keep Center Church moving forward.

Responsibilities


Finance, Human Resources, and Administration

  • Manage Center Church’s giving process, including recording and depositing contributions.
  • Oversee recurring bills and payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist with budget tracking, expense management, and answering ministry teams’ financial questions.
  • Provide administrative support for HR processes, including interviews, hiring, onboarding and offboarding, staff records, background checks, and employee benefits.
  • Communicate and collaborate with Novum Partners to support HR and accounting functions.
  • Support the Executive Director of Operations in other responsibilities related to finance.
  • Build, lead, and coordinate the administrative serving team, ensuring clear priorities, communication, and follow-through.


Project Management & Event Planning

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and on-site execution of ministry events by managing logistics, communication, environments, supplies, volunteers, and other event details.
  • Assist with church-wide events and staff gatherings, including retreats, Easter, Christmas Eve, and other all-hands events.


Short-Term Trips & Global Care

  • Plan and execute short-term mission trips, including recruitment, training, logistics, and post-trip debrief.
  • Build and support Global Care Teams that provide ongoing care and encouragement for missionaries and global partners.


Prayer & Mercy Ministries

  • Lead the coordination of prayer teams, prayer rooms, and church-wide prayer gatherings.
  • Recruit, schedule, and equip volunteers while creating clear pathways for people to engage in prayer ministry.
  • Serve as the staff lead for Care Portal through volunteer leadership, communication, training, and coordination.
  • Plan and execute mercy initiatives and church-wide serving opportunities, including Mercy Month, alongside the Tactical team.

Position Details

The anticipated start date is January 1, 2027, and this position will remain open until filled. This is a full-time, exempt, benefited position. The work week for this position is Sunday-Thursday with additional requirements for special events falling outside of typical work days/hours.


The anticipated salary range for this role is $45,000-60,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience. The successful candidate is expected to be/become a member of Center Church and to uphold the membership covenant.
