This person will work with CDH staff to manage projects including soil sampling and excavation oversight, groundwater monitoring programs, stormwater programs, Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) programs, Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) monitoring programs, and due diligence projects predominately for oil and gas clients in the Rocky Mountain region.

Job Title: Senior Scientist/Geologist/Engineer

Location: Denver Metro Area (remote option)


Purpose:

 

CDH Consulting is seeking an experienced Scientist/Geologist/Engineer to lead multiple clients existing work as well as develop new clients. This person will work with CDH staff to manage projects including soil sampling and excavation oversight, groundwater monitoring programs, stormwater programs, Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) programs, Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) monitoring programs, and due diligence projects predominately for oil and gas clients in the Rocky Mountain region. 


The Senior Scientist/Geologist/Engineer will be responsible for managing relationships, building work, ensuring deliverable quality for multiple clients and will be expected to maintain project schedules and budget expectations.


Main Responsibilities and Activities:

 

  • Lead, oversee, and execute a wide range of environmental compliance projects with limited oversight from subject matter experts 
  • Work closely with the project teams to navigate challenges and meet client needs
  • Mentor and provide project technical support to more junior staff
  • Manage projects, including maintaining budgets, schedules, and quality of service
  • Act as the client leads and/or subject matter expert to prepare proposals
  • Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) of deliverables

 

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

 

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, or related field of study.  Professional license strongly preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge of air quality basics and applicability to oil and gas clients preferred
  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant industry experience
  • At least 6 years of project management experience – client management experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas processes and regulations
  • Experience managing field teams and project personnel to collect data and generate deliverables as required by regulations and client objectives
  • Experience and ability to manage multiple projects with changing requirements
  • Able to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures

 

Travel Requirements


  • Overnight travel may be required to other locations – up to 10% of the time


Compensation and Benefits


  • Salary range of $100,000 to $125,000, depending on experience

Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, depending on numerous factors, including experience, geographical location, market conditions, education/training and skill level, and does not include bonuses, other forms of compensation or benefits.
