Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and support a company-wide culture where safety is integrated into how work is planned and performed.
- Implement, maintain, and continuously improve CDH's Health and Safety Management System.
- Monitor and support compliance with OSHA, state, local, and client-specific health and safety requirements.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action tracking.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs and maintain required safety records, documentation, and certifications.
- Support project teams by identifying hazards, implementing risk mitigation measures, and serving as the company's primary safety resource.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and occupational health and safety management principles.
- Prior experience developing and implementing health and safety programs and initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence safety performance across all levels of an organization.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to identify workplace hazards, assess risk, and implement effective risk reduction strategies.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience supporting environmental consulting, energy, or oil and gas operations.
- Experience with incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action management.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), or similar professional certification, or the ability to obtain such certification.
- Certified Smith System Trainer or experience facilitating defensive driving and fleet safety training.
- Experience with EHS Insight safety management software and related EHS data management systems.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant and progressive health and safety experience.
- Prior leadership, supervisory, or program management experience.
- Demonstrated experience supporting field operations and developing and implementing safety programs.
