Key Responsibilities:
- The number one priority is the responsibility for the children in your care.
- Lead the day-to-day running of the classroom.
- Lead lesson time, and activities and engage the children in classroom activities which may include story time, crafts, songs, free play, games, or other age-appropriate activities.
- Provide a clean and healthy environment for kids, following all safety policies and procedures.
- Greet parents and establish trust by building relationships with the children in your care.
- Be a positive role model and treat each child with dignity and respect.
- Supervise and oversee the safety and security of children.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize toys, chairs, tables, and floors after use.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures in the PMO Manual.
Position Qualifications:
- A drive to develop and grow yourself
- Previous experience working with and leading children is desired
- Reliable and punctual
- A passion for caring for children
- Someone who can relate well to both the kids and adults
- Must be able to lift, hold and carry up to 30 Ibs.
- Be able to work in a team environment, and delegate tasks to the Assistant Teacher
- Ability to use simple digital software (ProCare, Google Docs, Google Sheets)
- Able to communicate effectively through verbal and written communication.
- Have basic administration and organizational skills
- Be able to have fun, act silly, and be creative with children on a daily basis
