Summary:

This position is responsible for leading and managing projects related to process automation (OT), in life science and related industries. With 15+ years of experience, you will have a strong background in automation principles, automation project execution and deployment, system life cycle management, and industry-specific regulations. This role requires exceptional leadership, communication and problem-solving skills and will require coordination with the client and cross-functional teams, developing and ensuring adherence to good engineering principles, and facilitating effective communication among stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.


Job Functions, Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and maintains strong, transparent and effective day-to-day working relationships with all supported departments, regulatory groups and Catalyze clients.
  • Acts as an Owner’s representative, develop, implement, maintain and continuously improve Client’s process automation systems, policies and procedures. Provide automation system support and maintenance as agreed between Catalyze and their Clients.
  • As part of CAPEX Projects, deploys new and innovative methodology in automation, supporting implementation into the manufacturing facility.
  • Assists clients with interactions to outside interests including trends, available technologies, automation methodologies and available automation architectures utilized by industry.
  • Where applicable, implement initiatives to continuously improve internal Catalyze process automation training and implementation programs. 
  • At the Client’s direction ushers improvements through the necessary business systems for implementation (e.g. capital project approvals, etc.)
  • Assist Clients with establishing and maintaining automation documentation including architecture, CQV documentation, detailed design documentation, and necessary project documentation.
  • Provide training as required for all customers; per customer requirements, designs systems to ensure that record-keeping systems are in place to ensure training is well documented and up to date.
  • Can advise on structure, resources and policies needed for responding to process automation solutions in a manufacturing plant.
  • Leads investigation, recording, reporting and recommended corrective actions for incidents, as needed and as applicable to process automation related topics.
  • Produces work product in compliance with all Client policies and procedures. Capable of establishing corporate OT policies ensure adherence across the Client organization.
  • Observe safe working practices including completion of required safety training, attendance at scheduled safety meetings, and performance of safe operating techniques in the labs, production areas, and office areas.
  • Comply with all Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures and governmental regulations.
  • All other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:

  • At least (15) years of process automation experience. Well established history of automation leadership, integration project implementation and liaising project teams.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of complex industrial equipment operation.
  • Ability to analyze and recommend strategies for improving the automation (OT) solutions while understanding the business objectives (internally and for Catalyze Clients).
  • Capability to analyze complex interrelated OT installations.
  • Ability to develop OT systems to ensure Client’s business objectives are met.

Salary

$160,000 - $180,000 per year
