Position Summary

We are seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian who is passionate about feline medicine and wants to practice at a high clinical standard without the noise, stress, and pace of a mixed general practice or emergency setting. This role is ideal for a DVM who wants to focus their practice exclusively on cats, take strong ownership of their caseload, and grow within a well-established practice.

The Associate Veterinarian will work alongside our Medical Director and clinical team to deliver comprehensive feline medical care, including wellness examinations, dental procedures, routine surgery, diagnostics, and chronic disease management.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform feline wellness exams, sick visits, and preventive care
  • Diagnose and manage chronic feline conditions
  • Perform routine surgical procedures and provide anesthesia oversight for surgery and dentals
  • Interpret diagnostics and deliver compassionate end-of-life care using Fear Free principles
  • Build strong client relationships through clear, empathetic communication and thoughtful treatment planning
  • Work closely with the Medical Director and collaborate with a close-knit technician and support team
  • Maintain accurate medical records and uphold clinical protocols


Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited veterinary school
  • Active Florida DVM license in good standing (or eligible for FL licensure prior to start date)
  • Active DEA registration
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Minimum of 2 years of small animal clinical experience post-graduation
  • Strong foundational surgical and dental skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to Fear Free handling principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small, close-knit team

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary $120,000 – $170,000+ (ProSal structure)
