The Opportunity: This is an amazing opportunity for a “founding account executive” who is ambitious about helping larger customers expand their business with CaseMark. As we are a product-led growth (PLG) company, hundreds of law firms and service providers have already signed up for CaseMark’s free trial, and upgraded with their credit card. Of course, many of these customers have also raised their hand to “talk to sales” in order to help understand how they can use AI across their companies. Our CEO and CRO have too many inbound leads to handle, so you have the opportunity to close deals that are just waiting for you to arrive. Because you’re the “founding account executive,” you’ll be able to help shape how CaseMark balances our sales-led and product-led motions to grow revenue.
What you'll do
- Assess and prioritize inbound leads to determine their potential to become customers
- Respond quickly to qualified leads to book meetings with them
- Partner with the CEO and CRO on reaching out to larger companies and channel partners (e.g., legal service providers and introducing us to their customers) who have expressed interest in expanding our relationship
- Study the PLG motion to look for product qualified leads (e.g., a law firm has five employees paying for CaseMark separately with their credit cards, and would benefit from a more formalized relationship with us).
- Partner with the CEO and CRO during meetings to identify action items and next steps and learn the pitch
- Follow up quickly after meetings with quotes and contracts and stay on top of them until signed
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities in our CRM
- Used outbound email tools such as Unify, Outreach, Salesloft
- Continuously identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency
What you have:
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
- Willingness to not just wait for demo requests and hand-raiser leads to land in their inbox, but also go outbound with target accounts and self-serve customers
- Experience working in a hybrid product-led growth company with a sales team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and compelling emails
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously
- Track record of success in sales
Added bonus:
- You have experience in legal tech or have previously sold technology solutions to legal professionals.
- You have sold AI and AI native yourself (you use AI call recorders such as Fireflies, AI for writing outreach, AI research tools)
- Sold tools with security and compliance offerings such as SOC II Type 2, HIPAA, etc.
Compensation
The OTE (on-target earnings) range of compensation starts at $120,000 to $180,000 with a 50/50 split between base and variable compensation. We give candidates the ability to choose between equity and cash, which will shift the OTE
