Position Summary:


Carrma is seeking a talented Junior Audio Mixer to join our growing team. This position will begin as mid-level, and, through training and experience, we hope will grow with the company into a senior-level mixer.


The Junior Audio Mixer will be responsible for working with our senior audio mixer to mix and edit audio for various media projects, including trailers, tv spots, non-fiction films and shows, and sports features.


The right candidate will have experience in post-production, knowledge of Pro Tools, and above all, possess a can-do attitude with a passion for producing high-quality work. Experience in entertainment marketing, specifically, is a bonus. The position is full-time and in-person at our office in Valencia.

Responsibilities:


  • Work with our senior audio mixer to assist in the editing and mixing of audio content for various media projects.
  • Clean up and edit dialogue and sound effects tracks.
  • Help to maintain audio mixing equipment.
  • Collaborate with other post-production team members.
  • Troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during the audio mixing process.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.


Requirements:


  • Proficiency in Pro Tools
  • Basic understanding of short-form, long-form, and entertainment marketing audio post-production workflows
  • Ability to understand deliverables lists, work orders, and spec sheets outlining file deliverables, versions, and specs
  • Prior experience with audio mixing and editing, preferably in a post-production studio setting.
  • Knowledge of sound design and music editing is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of audio formats.
  • Basic knowledge of video formats.


Qualifications:


  • A degree or certificate in audio engineering or a related field.
  • Passion for film and television and doing one’s best work.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated to do great work.
  • Ability to collaborate in a team setting with other professionals.


Salary

$60,000 - $90,000 per year
