About Caribbean Palace LLC
Caribbean Palace LLC is a North Carolina Medicaid provider dedicated to helping individuals with mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD), and other behavioral health needs live independently and successfully within their communities.
We are currently seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide Community Living and Supports (CLS) services under the NC Medicaid 1915(i) program.

Position Summary
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides one-on-one support to individuals receiving Community Living and Supports services. DSPs assist individuals with daily living activities, community integration, skill-building, and achieving goals identified in their Person-Centered Plan.
Services are provided in the member's home and community settings.
Responsibilities
Daily Living Support
- Assist individuals with developing independent living skills
- Support personal goal achievement and self-sufficiency
- Teach and reinforce daily routines
- Assist with meal planning and healthy lifestyle choices
- Support budgeting, money management, and shopping skills
Community Integration
- Accompany individuals to community activities
- Encourage social interaction and relationship building
- Assist with accessing community resources
- Support participation in recreational, educational, and volunteer activities
Skill Building
- Teach problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Promote self-advocacy and independence
- Assist with employment readiness and vocational goals when applicable
- Support communication and interpersonal skill development
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete service notes and documentation accurately and timely
- Follow Medicaid and agency requirements
- Report incidents, concerns, and changes in participant status
- Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
Team Collaboration
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and care team members
- Participate in required trainings and meetings
- Follow individualized service plans and goals
Qualifications
Required
β High School Diploma or GED
β Minimum age of 18 years
β Valid Driverβs License
β Reliable transportation
β Automobile insurance
β Ability to pass background checks and credentialing requirements
β Strong communication and interpersonal skills
β Ability to work independently and professionally
Preferred
- Experience working with individuals with mental health needs
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD)
- Direct Support Professional experience
- Human Services experience
- Behavioral Health experience
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
