Start Your Career in Print Production - Canterbury Press is launching our first-ever Production Apprenticeship Program, and we're looking for two motivated individuals to join our team. This is an incredible opportunity to begin your career as a skilled tradesperson; we will teach you everything you need to be successful. During the 12 month program, you will rotate through every department in our production operation, work alongside experienced professionals, and build real, hands-on expertise in commercial printing. At the end of the program, the objective is to transition apprentices into a permanent role.
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week (may include occasional overtime)
Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour, with merit-based increases at key milestones
Program Duration: 12 months, with potential to transition to a full-time role
Start Date: July 2026
Application Due Date: May 31, 2026 (End of Day)
• You earn while you learn. Full-time pay starting at $20.00/hour from day one, not an unpaid internship, not a training stipend.
• You see the whole operation. You will spend time working in every production department, so you understand every step of how our products come together.
• You have a dedicated mentor. A trusted, experienced Canterbury Press team member who is your go-to for guidance across the full program.
• You meet directly with the CEO. Regular one-on-ones give you a direct line to company leadership from day one.
• You have a path forward. The program is designed as a pipeline to a permanent position, not a temporary role.
During the first five months, you'll spend one month in each of our core production departments:
• Pre-Press — Learn file preparation, proofing, and plate-making workflows.
• Digital Printing — Work with digital presses on short-run and variable data projects.
• Offset Printing — Learn traditional offset press operations, color management, and quality control.
• Bindery — Master cutting, folding, die-cutting, stitching, and other finishing operations.
• Shipping & Warehousing — Understand inventory, packing, and fulfillment.
In the final 7 months, you'll specialize — spending 3.5 months each in two departments where your skills and interests best match our business needs. By the end, you'll be ready to step into a permanent production role.
We're looking for curious, reliable, hands-on learners who want to build a long-term career in production. You do not need prior print or manufacturing experience. We especially encourage applications from early-career candidates interested in skilled trades.

• Able to lift heavy items and safely operate production equipment
• Able to commit to the full 12-month program at our Atlanta facility
• $20.00 per hour starting pay from day one
