Job Title: Facilities & Maintenance Support – On-Call / Variable Hours 

Location: Seattle, WA 

Job Type: Part-Time, On-Call 

Pay: $22.00—$24.00 p/hour depending on experience

Reports to: General Manager or Facilities Supervisor

Job Summary: The On-Call Facilities & Maintenance Support staff provides essential operational support to maintain the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of Cannonball Arts. This is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes role for someone who can jump in as needed to troubleshoot, reset, repair, and reset again—sometimes under pressure, sometimes just in solitude with a mop and a playlist.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance, minor repairs, and venue resets as scheduled or requested
  • Assist with event setups, breakdowns, and turnarounds (including furniture moves, lighting checks, cleanup, etc.)
  • Complete basic tasks in painting, plumbing, carpentry, lighting, and general upkeep
  • Support janitorial or custodial needs during or after events
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors and maintain detailed shift notes or logs
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, venue policies, and state regulations

Schedule & Availability:

  • On-call, variable-hour position
  • Shifts may be offered with short notice based on operational need
  • Must be available for nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
  • Reachable by phone or text when on-call; expected to confirm availability promptly

Qualifications:

  • Experience in facilities, building operations, or general maintenance preferred
  • Ability to lift/move 50+ lbs and use ladders, tools, and cleaning supplies
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with a calm, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Comfortable working independently or in a team
  • Basic digital literacy (clocking in/out, shift reporting, etc.)
  • Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Willingness to work a nontraditional schedule in a high-energy creative environment
