We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to become an integral part of our team! Join a fast-growing industrial supplies distributor looking for someone willing to learn and perform routine bookkeeping, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. This position will start out part-time with the potential to become full-time as the company continues to scale.
Responsibilities:
- Weekly entry of vendor/supplier invoices for payment
- Answer vendor/supplier inquiries and review statements monthly
- Monthly bookkeeping/data entry including entering credit card and bank transactions, journal entries, etc. into our ERP Software program
- Help review customer statements and follow up with customers on past due invoices
- Keep accurate records in accordance with company standards
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in billing, finance, or other related fields is a plus
- Experience in data entry
- Knowledge of standard accounting procedures
- Positive and professional demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
