Campaign Zero’s Managing Director of Policy and Campaigns is responsible for leading the Campaigns team from a policy campaign’s inception through to translating campaign objectives and data into model policy recommendations that will maximize the organization’s impact and reach. The Managing Director of Policy and Campaigns is responsible for developing the strategy for campaign development, policy recommendations, and how/where to prioritize and scale policy adoption. The Managing Director of Policy and Campaigns will lead a team of managers and analysts, and oversee the creation of resources for policy leaders, organizers, community members, and elected officials to understand key aspects of policy change, implementation levers, and considerations for adopting policy recommendations. The Managing Director of Policy and Campaigns will help to build the skills and capacity of team members, contractors and organizers to collect data, make stakes in the ground, and then speak to the content and rationale of policy recommendations to bring about legislative change in their communities. The Managing Director of Policy and Campaigns is a part of the Campaign Zero leadership team and reports directly to the Executive Director.
