We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physician Assistant to join our team on a PRN basis. This role provides primary care with a strong women's health focus, supporting our membership panel during high-volume periods, provider absences, and extended hours. The ideal candidate thrives in an independent, continuity-focused environment and shares our commitment to whole-person care for women across the lifespan.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA program; current NCCPA certification required
• Active (or eligible) PA license in NC
• DEA registration required
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience; primary care or women's health experience strongly preferred
• Experience with or strong interest in the DPC model
• IUD/implant insertion certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable with direct, high-touch patient communication (phone, portal messaging)

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage acute and same-day visits including infections, musculoskeletal complaints, dermatologic concerns, GI issues, and other urgent primary care needs
• Provide ongoing chronic disease management including hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disorders, anxiety/depression, and other common conditions within a continuity-based membership model
• Perform in-office procedures including skin biopsies (shave, punch), IUD insertions and removals, Nexplanon insertions and removals, and wound care
• Communicate directly with members via phone, text, or portal for same-day and between-visit needs during scheduled shifts
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and point-of-care testing
• Collaborate closely with our collaborating physician and contribute to a small, cohesive team environment
• Maintain timely, thorough documentation in our EHR

A note on women's health experience: We do not require prior experience with menopause management, PCOS, endometriosis, or sexual health. These are areas where we are happy to train and mentor the right candidate who brings strong primary care fundamentals, a willingness to learn, and genuine interest in women's health.
