Essential Responsibilities

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Pick up children from school safely and on time.
  • Transport children home.
  • Supervise children after school while providing a safe, positive, and nurturing environment.
  • Assist with homework, reading, and educational activities appropriate for each child's age.
  • Prepare and serve healthy after-school snacks.
  • Encourage age-appropriate independence, responsibility, and good manners.
  • Keep children's backpacks, school materials, and activity items organized.
  • Help maintain children's play areas and common spaces in a neat and orderly condition.
  • Communicate updates regarding homework, behavior, and any concerns.
  • Exercise sound judgment in emergency situations and promptly communicate any issues to parents.


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience working with children in a tutor, childcare, or similar role.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable personal transportation and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and motor vehicle record check.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

Schedule

This is a part-time position, generally Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday during after-school hours. Additional hours may occasionally be available during school holidays, teacher workdays, or summer break by mutual agreement.

Salary

$20 - $20 per hour
