Inventory Associate

Job Description


Responsibilities

Must be available 365 days/year.

3rd shift - 9pm - 5am or 10pm - 6am


  • Report to the Inventory Manager or supervisor on duty for specific direction and daily expectations.


  • Assist with receipt and transfer of products from vendors into our back of house inventory, ensuring all items on the manifest are accounted for, correctly labeled, and within their expiration dates. 


  • Assist with the internal audit process to detect discrepancies between virtual and physical inventory counts. Report discrepancies to management immediately. 


  • Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements, and adhere to the company’s current standard operating procedures and policies.


  • Maintain organization of backstock so that older products are the first to be moved to the sales room, using the First-In-First-Out principle. 


  • Handle products in accordance with best practices for Food Handling, maintaining sanitary surfaces, equipment, and hands. Wear gloves when handling products directly. 


  • Monitor all labels and expiration dates to ensure compliance. Inform management of any about-to-expire products. 


  • Keep active inventory well-stocked, “moving” products from backstock digitally and physically. Ensure products are stored in the correct places to facilitate ease and accuracy of inventory auditing.


  • Monitor and maintain stock of pre-packed bulk flower, with attention to accuracy in weighing and compliantly labeling all packages.


  • Manage and dispose of waste according to the company’s current standard operating procedures.


  • Completing required data entry, daily (logging transactions, transfers, and daily intake/outgoing product) in the statewide monitoring system and POS.


  • Build ‘product cards’ in the POS for new inventory items, ensuring all information is complete and correct.


  • Maintain a clean and organized work space.


  • Develop and maintain in-depth cannabis and product knowledge.
