 Job Description



Responsibilities


  • Report to the Lead Budtender or a Manager for specific direction and daily expectations. 


  • The responsibilities of the Budtender include welcoming customers from reception to the sales room, assisting customers with product selection, and handling cash or other forms of payment to conduct sales. All budtenders will also assist drive thru customers after receiving training on the customer intake/ID verification process.


  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance. Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service.


  • Recheck customers’ identification to ensure that the person you are escorting into the sales room matches the reception-verified customer that you selected from the queue. 


  • Answer customers' questions regarding the different forms and strains of cannabis, their effects, and methods of consumption. Advise customers on suitable cannabis products based on their personal needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains of cannabis. Educate customers on the safe use of their selected cannabis products.


  • Allow customers to smell and visually inspect, but not touch, our flower offerings. 


  • Count cash accurately and give back correct change. You will be responsible for the contents of your cash drawer. 


  • Inform the manager of customer complaints and operational issues.


  • Enforce transaction limits, and be able to explain to customers how they are calculated.


  • Keep all products behind the counter, out of reach of customers until they are purchased. 


  • Escort customers to the exit door and ensure that it closes behind them.


  • Sanitize high-touch surfaces often and maintain a tidy work environment.


  • Maintain product organization and assist with inventory audits at the direction of the Inventory Manager.


  • Other duties may be assigned, as needed or warranted, by upper management.
