Position: Medical Billing Client Acquisition Specialist

Location: Remote

Reports to: Business Owner


Job Overview:

The Medical Billing Client Acquisition Specialist is responsible for driving new business and acquiring clients for medical billing services. This role involves identifying potential healthcare providers and medical practices, cultivating relationships, and converting leads into long-term customers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the healthcare industry, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record in sales or client acquisition within the medical or healthcare sector.


Key Responsibilities:


Lead Generation: Research and identify potential medical practices, clinics, and healthcare providers who would benefit from outsourced medical billing services.

Prospecting: Use various strategies such as cold calling, email outreach, networking, and attending healthcare industry events to build a pipeline of prospective clients.

Consultative Sales: Conduct needs assessments with prospects to understand their billing requirements and challenges. Present tailored solutions that address their unique needs.

Client Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations, demonstrating the value and efficiency of the medical billing services offered.

Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (practice owners, office managers, physicians) to foster long-term business partnerships.

Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations and close contracts, ensuring that both the client’s needs and the company’s goals are met.

Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes in the medical billing field to effectively position services in the marketplace.

Sales Targets: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly client acquisition targets.

CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of leads, client interactions, and sales activities in the company’s CRM system.

Collaboration: Work closely with the operations and customer service teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to client onboarding.

Qualifications:


Proven experience in client acquisition, sales, or business development in the medical or healthcare industry.

Strong understanding of medical billing processes, insurance claims, coding, and reimbursement.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.

Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively.

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.

Experience using CRM software and sales tracking tools.

A bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Skills:


Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulations.

Experience in selling medical billing, revenue cycle management, or related healthcare services.

Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) and medical practice management software.

Compensation:


Performance-based commission structure, with the possibility to move to a salaried position if proven successful in client acquisition.
