Growing cookie shop is looking for a reliable, personable part-time delivery driver for 1-3 shifts per week. This is perfect for someone who already has a driving job, but wants to pick up stable extra shifts for additional income. You'll be behind the wheel of a refrigerated commercial box truck, delivering our frozen dough and supplies to company and franchise locations across the region — and as the face of the company at every stop, a friendly, professional presence matters just as much as a clean driving record. This is a steady, structured role with consistent morning hours and local routes — no overnights, no long hauls, and you're home by early afternoon. Short shifts, consistent schedules, and local routes mean predictability you can count on. You'll be part of a small, growing Bay Area food brand where your work has direct impact — not a number on a dispatch board.

Description

Schedule

  • Morning shifts starting at 7:00AM, sometimes earlier depending on need
  • Around 4-5 hours per shift, depending on routes and traffic
  • Some weekend and holiday availability may be required at times, which allows opportunity for additional hours

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a refrigerated commercial box truck with lift gate
  • Picking and packing deliveries, including pallets
  • Deliver products safely and on schedule by following speed limits and all traffic laws, maintaining awareness of vehicle size and weight, and prioritizing the integrity of frozen product throughout transport
  • Maintain proper temperature conditions for frozen product during transport
  • Load and unload materials (up to 75 lbs regularly)
  • Purchasing supplies as needed
  • Checking inventory at various locations
  • Operate pallet jack and lift gate equipment
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Maintain cleanliness and condition of delivery vehicle
  • Self-directed restocking of supplies on the truck
  • Follow all food safety and company policies
  • Communicate issues, delays, or safety concerns promptly

Qualifications

  • Valid California Driver’s License with clean, verifiable driving record. No history of DUIs at any time.
  • REQUIRED: Experience operating commercial delivery trucks
  • Experience using pallet jacks and lift gates
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs regularly
  • Must be at least 25 years old due to insurance requirements
  • Strong reliability and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Must be able to proficiently read and follow written route instructions, delivery documentation, and safety signage in English
  • Must pass background check and provide references
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work performed in and around a refrigerated delivery vehicle and production environments
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (up to 75 lbs)
  • Standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motion throughout shift
  • Work performed in delivery and production environments
