Behavioral Technician (BT) – Unlicensed – Join the BECS Team!

Role Overview

Unlicensed BTs provide direct support under school staff supervision. This position is perfect for candidates looking to gain experience in behavioral support while contributing to student success and developing a career pathway toward CBT or RBT certification.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students in following classroom expectations, routines, and structures.
• Encourage positive social interactions and academic participation.
• Provide one-on-one or small-group support as directed by school staff.
• Document observations and communicate student progress to teachers and supervisors.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

Requirements for All BECS Roles

• High school diploma required; some college preferred.
• Experience working with children or youth in educational or clinical settings is helpful.
• Strong observation, patience, and communication skills.
• Clean criminal record and ability to pass federal fingerprinting background check.
• Reliable transportation (personal vehicle required; not public transit).
• Three professional references verifying attendance and reliability.

Work Locations

Please note: The term “remote” refers to variable work locations across multiple counties rather than a work-from-home position. Specific cities and worksites are determined during the interview and placement process. Our services currently extend throughout the greater Puget Sound region, including Pierce, King, Snohomish, Skagit, Thurston, Lewis, Chelan, and Douglas Counties.
