The dockmasters are the front face of the member experience during reservations and are the primary contact for the members in regard to reserving boats and facilitating their experience. Dockmasters provide an excellent “boat-cierge” experience to our members upon their arrival and departure from the club, and ensure all boats are cleaned, prepared, and well-maintained daily.
- Deliver exceptional customer service (“boat-cierge”) to all members on the docks. Meet them at their vehicle, assist in moving personal items to the boat, provide assistance boarding/disembarking, and offer advice as to local waters and local attractions. Then assist members back to their vehicle when they return.
- Clean/prep boats for daily reservations, between reservations, and at the end of each day.
- Assist members with check-out and check-in procedures for each reservation.
- Maintain and clean club areas including dock boxes, check-out stand, and office areas.
- Detail and clean boats in accordance with the daily and weekly cleaning checklist.
- Inventory boat safety gear and boat conditions. Report deficiencies as needed.
- Inform Site Manager of any needed supplies for assigned location.
- Work with Site Manager to resolve any member issues that arise.
- Complete daily vessel cleaning tasks, assigned in the green book, along with the daily vessel deep cleaning schedule dictated by the Site Manager.
- Experienced dockmasters may be assigned the “Manager of the Day” (MOD) role at a location on certain days, in which they would be responsible for being the lead point of contact for decisions regarding inclement weather, member issues, or any other daily operational decisions.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
