The Opportunity

Buckstop is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Intelligence / Data Analyst basis to support our data analytics, customer insights, and visibility initiatives.

In this role, you will work closely with our team to conduct customer case study research, build internal visibility dashboards, analyze customer metrics, clean and segment complex datasets, and generate actionable insights for strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate brings energy and project finance experience combined with a strong analytical toolkit and the ability to translate complex data into clear visualizations and communication.

What You'll Do

Business Intelligence & Data Analysis

• Conduct customer case study research to evaluate operational performance and customer impact
• Drive internal customer visibility analysis and cross-functional communication
• Perform data segmentation and attribution analysis across customer and operational datasets
• Define, track, and report on internal performance metrics and KPIs
• Execute data cleaning, transformation, and segmentation routines
• Design, build, and maintain data visualizations and dashboards

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Experience in the energy sector 
• At least 3 years of project finance experience
• At least 3 years professional experience using Python and Excel macros
• Strong proficiency in data analysis, data cleaning, segmentation, and data visualization
• Ability to communicate complex analytical findings clearly to stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working at a B2B software company
• Experience with insurance underwriting and/or risk modeling
• Experience with user and product engagement modeling
• Using AI models to generat e verify and confirm financial models
