Strategy, Design, and Development are the key components of any great website. We need a talented, experienced designer with an eye for beautiful sites to complement our strategy and development expertise. We like to work with designers who don’t stop with a Photoshop mock-up, but who instead go the extra mile to implement their practical web designs in HTML and CSS. If you’re geeky enough to get into some Javascript and PHP, all the better!


Prior experience is a must, preferably with multiple public-facing websites. Be prepared to share and discuss past design projects.

Qualifications


  • Passionate about web and mobile technology
  • Degree in Graphic/Interactive/Web Design (or equivalent work experience)
  • 3-5 years of web design experience
  • Excellent communication skills with internal team and external clients
  • Must have a social media presence (Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn at a minimum)
  • Must have an online portfolio — come on, you do this for a living
  • Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and processes of design thinking
  • Up to date on UI trends, techniques, and technologies
  • Proactive thinker and eager to learn new skills to develop your career and increase the impact we provide for our clients
  • Strong in visual design, knowledgeable on the latest trends and innovations in UI/UX, an understanding of WCAG and 508 accessible compliance, and has experience with research and analytics tools


Responsibilities


  • Applying UI/UX design concepts and guidance on projects website, web application and mobile application project
  • Communicate the initiative to others through user journeys, storyboards, prototypes, wireframes and other materials
  • Set the direction for usability of new and existing client sites and applications, making adjustments to align with shifting audience expectations
  • Establish research methods and strategies, conduct studies, and present findings that will inform improvements in the customer experience
  • Coaches and mentors junior staff; Assists management team in training new staff

$65,000 - $90,000 per year
