Description

Job Tasks:

  • Operate the two-head automatic keg washer to wash and sanitize kegs.
  • Fill kegs from brite tanks.
  • Clean fittings and parts used during the day following proper cleaning and sanitation procedures.
  • Assist with canning days by packing cans into carriers and palletizing.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of packaged beer storage cooler.
  • Prepare shipments and assist with loading and unloading deliveries.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks around the brewery, including floors, tank exteriors, and storage areas.
  • Assist with cleaning in place (CIP) of Brite tanks and fermentation vessels.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
  • Assist at events and festivals
  • Basic brew day operations; following recipes from mill in, mash in, mash out, boil, whirlpool, to knockout and CIP of brewhouse equipment
  • Proper handling of chemicals
  • Draft line and taproom maintenance
  • Understanding and practicing all internal safety standards
  • Yeast management, pitching yeast and yeast viability tests
  • Filling crowlers for tap room sale
  • Occasional special events (festivals, bartending, etc)

Requirements:

  • Strong work ethic and ability to multitask.
  • Commitment to following brewery processes to produce high-quality products.
  • Positive attitude and effective communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
  • Ability to work independently in a hazardous environment.
  • Comfort working in tight spaces and navigating trip hazards.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Must have reliable transportation and valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift and maneuver 55 lbs to shoulder height and be able to repeatedly maneuver 165 lb kegs to pallet height.


Preferred Experience:

  • Experience operating a forklift
  • Experience with Oktober seamer/ equivalent brand
  • 1+ year of commercial brewing experience
  • Computer skills in basic Google suite and ability to learn standard software packages employed by the business.
