Pay & Compensation
- $25–$28/hr base pay, determined by license level and experience
- Performance pay — if you can bet on your performance, you will get paid accordingly
- Tradesman pay range: $52K - $80K
- Journeyman pay range: $60K - $110K
- 3% matching retirement plan — eligible after 90 days of employment
- Health benefits — eligible after 90 days of employment

- Schedule flexibility between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Occasional weekends as needed
About the Role
The Tradesman or Journeyman Service Plumber is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. This role entails both installation work and selling jobs — we are seeking plumbers who are hungry to win customers and win work. You will deliver a five-star customer experience on every call, work independently and alongside a team, and represent Brothers Plumbing as a skilled professional in the community.
We facilitate a 5 Star Process to optimize the customer’s experience: Prepare, Set the Tone, Diagnose the Issue, Create Estimate Options, Do the Work, and Close the Call.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current plumbing license — Tradesman, Journeyman, or Master
- In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, maintenance, and repairs
- Solid understanding of current regulations and Texas plumbing code
- Strong communication skills — comfortable explaining technical issues to customers clearly
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with power tools and commitment to safe use practices
- Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong customer service orientation — this is as important as technical skill
- Ability to pass a background check and random drug screen
Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on role. You should be comfortable with the following:
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs; carrying a minimum of 25 lbs unassisted over 250 feet
- Climbing ladders and working at various heights and in confined or awkward spaces
- Operating handheld power tools safely with required PPE at all times
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions and on concrete or uneven surfaces for extended periods
- Working more than 40 hours per week and up to 12 hours per day as needed
- Exposure to odors associated with sewer and water systems, power tool noise, dust, and construction debris
